Nurses needed to chart in a very narrow space in their triage area. They felt that any arms would consume valuable space and that the only solution was to mount things as flat to the wall as possible. That would mean they would be keying with their hands only 4”-5” from the wall and with their eyes only inches from the monitor. They discovered Ergotron Sit/Stand arms with flip-up keyboard trays and 20” vertical adjustment allowed them to swing the monitors and keyboards up and/or away when not in use, and, when being used, the double-articulation bends in ways that allow users to work in this cramped area. For example, they can work with their sides to the wall instead of facing the wall.
