Not all process control rooms are in a pristine environment. Consoles must be strong, durable, and ergonomically correct for use 24/7 by attendants who are accustomed to an industrial environment. Cables and electronics must be contained within the cabinetry to prevent accidental disturbance or contamination.This is no place for “office furniture”. The kiosk to the right we did for an International Paper hallway has its own CPU contained in its cabinet. Four flat panel displays call attention to plant news and safety information. We used an EDP cabinet with Erogtron monitor mounts.
