Ergotron is the leading manufacturer of patient room computing furniture solutions, including both wall- mounted articulating monitor arms, articulating keyboard arms, CPU holders, COW’s and WOW’s (carts). In addition to patient room wall-mounted IT-related appliances, Page Concepts, Inc. also provides solutions for linear accelerator control rooms, nurses’ stations, and hospital administration.
Hospitals and clinics value space and real-time information. As hospitals strive for the very best in patient care, they must place interactive computing capability within the patient rooms. Logistics require patient rooms to be compact, keeping distances from nurses’ stations to a given patient room to a minimum.
Patients, doctors and nurses all would like to view information on a computer monitor. Ergotron products provide space-efficient solutions, both wall-mounted, and mobile. Articulating arms allow monitors to be moved about for viewing by patient as well as care-givers. Keyboards flip up to be flat against wall. For lockable security, Ergotron enclosures extend from wall only 7”, but, when open, allow keyboard to fold down and monitor to adjust.

Integris Health Centers
< Problem: Ten help desks were using the Ergotron DS100 Triple-Monitor Desk Stand, 33-323-200, but the stands occupied too much desk space and did not allow adequate adjustment.
< Solution: Using the Ergotron LX Desk Mount LCD Arm, 45-241-026, Page Concepts, Inc. configured a three monitor mounting system that keeps the worksurface clear, with the monitors “hovering” above.

More importantly, the Ergotron LX Desk Mount LCD Arm allows for left-right, in-out, up-down, pivot, and tilt adjustments as well as rotation to portrait orientation. Supervisors and coworkers who wish to view a screen no longer need to invade the user’s space. The arm simply swings out, up, and over for an individual or group to easily see.

< Problem Integris Health required additional Metro Carts with an articulating laptop arm attached. The manufacturer does not offer an arm when a rear mounting frame is ordered.
Solution > Page Concepts, Inc. made a small modification that allowed us to attach an Ergotron LX articulating monitor mount to the rear accessory bar. Photo shows cart before other accessories were attached.

Ergotron products are in use throughout the Integris network. Here is the photo mockup one of two 4 monitor wall-mounted stations now installed near a scanning area, giving the staff a row of 8 computer monitors without using any valuable desk/counter-top space.
One of the hundreds of applications for the Ergotron LX Dual Side-by-Side Arm, 45-245-026 is in this nurse’s station where four nurses need to share one large table, but the work surface must be free for very large documents. |

Orthopedic Associates of Dallas
When Tracy Jackson, Executive Administrator and Bethany Jackson of SMA Tandem researched the marketplace for their optimum solution, they selected the Ergotron VL Enclosure for their 55 new patient rooms.
This enclosure locks to prevent unauthorized use, such as from curious young visitors, but unlocks with a digital keypad. For access without the use of a code, a key can be used. The enclosure extends into the room only 7” when closed. When open, the door opens down to make a little desk surface suitable for writing prescriptions. A few areas other than patient rooms were equipped with non-enclosed wall-mounts. |

Norman Regional Hospital
For their emergency rooms, this hospital needed articulating arms that allowed the medical team to quickly move the monitor about for viewing by more than one individual and to use the computer both seated and standing. The Ergotron LX Wall Mount System #45-247-026 includes articulating monitor mount, ariculating keyboard tray, CPU holder a wall track, and cable covers.
For Labor and Delivery, an articulating keyboard mounted under their counter-top and an Ergotron vertical track with two Ergotron LX monitor mounts gives the nursing staff the ability to view information from their nurse’s station and their patient simultaneously. In other areas of the hospital, Ergotron mobile carts such as the one shown with a laptop are in use.
